Get ready!!!! Week of February 25 2010. Decisions have been made and my condo is rented for April 1-Oct 1. What a strange feeling to know I will not have a place to come back to for six months. It is liberating in one way and yet a bit oif anxiety as i have one month to purchase a camper, figure out how to work it and then figure out where I would like to journey to over the next six months. WOW Take a Deep breath!!!
Right now I am searching the web for popup trailers to buy somewhere in Florida. I have spent hours at different web sites and even bid on a pop up that is located in Illinois. Good thing I did not get it. Illinois is not on my map for this trip until September. There are a few nice trailers in the Ocala classifieds. Hopefully one of those will work. I would like to buy it from a single owner and not a dealership.
Larry Gibbens lives in Ocala and may be able to check it out. I could drive there buy it and Larry may help me get everything ready for the road.
I am trying to focus asnd organize for the trip and getting my condo in order for Bob to move into on 4/1.
Next week Jay and I are renting a uhaul trailer to go to Give2thetroops.org with golf clubs and supplies. We will leave Sun morning and come back on Mon from Greenville NC. Riverbend had a wonderful idea to donate goilf clubs for the troops overeas. It was hugely successful. Someone had a connection with a non-profit called Give2thetroops.org. After hearing about it I thought maybe I could help by driving the truck to deliver the clubs. Many of the Riverbenders and my clients helped in contributing gas and hotel money for Jay and I.
So the journey begins and although I have much unknown in the next six months, I am guided by Our Lord and Creator and a sense of purpose in my life and hopefully the lives of many others along the way.
