Still not to Big Bend

Eds Adventures: Well it has been almost a week in hill country. I moved to Lost Maple St Natural Area yesterday in the rain. Tough packing up and setting up the camper when wet. I did a hike on the east trail to the ponds for about 3 hours yesterday in a bit of rain. I am better prepared this time with gasrbage bag for my camelback pack and also good socks and taped up my blisters before I went. It was amzing the hummingbirds at the campsite. Blackchinned and rubythroated hummingbirds. Along with my first golden cheeked warbler. I spent about 30 minutes meditating to the sounds of water, birds and all of nature. Most of all the feeling of the spirit here has brought a peace patience and freedom I have never had. I had planned on being at Big Bend a week ago but finally just letting go and seeing where the Holy Spirit leads me.

It has been 5 days of rain and I spent Thursday at my first motel in Bandera, where I sit now doing my laundry with more drizzle. It was great to have a warm bed and shower and a nice cajon farm raised catfish for dinner. Once again I stumbled upon a river right behnd the hotel. & stops 7 different rivers.Tx sure has alot of beautiful rivers.

You will not believe it but Sue and Glenn are staying 10 miles away for their friend John Gibsons funeral and I am going to meet them here in Bandera this afternnoon. What are the odds of that in the middle of nowhere to get to see them. It will be awesome to see family.

I will not have access to e-mail or phone, txt at Lost Maple or most of the way to Big Bend. Verizon coverage is not so good out west I here. Go figure. More tech problems. Oh well i will check in when I can.

I am downloading some great pics from Lost Maple

Hope everyone is well and reply to comments section of the blog and let me know how you are doing?

Take Care

Ed
